Kid Rock and AC/DC refused to sell individual tracks on the iTunes store, at the expense of not distributing through that channel. On the other hand Lil' Wayne made it really big by doing the strict opposite.

All I say is: I like CDs, and I like iTunes.
I like CDs too but mine are getting a bit dusty ever since I imported most of them on iTunes...
No-brainer. Imo the only right strategy for major artists like that is BOTH.
Kid Rock only on Rhapsody, give me a break... And AC/DC not on iTunes, like that would've affected physical sales... those people can't be serious. They don't need marketeers, they need brain surgeons.
