Makes me think of how we take a lot of modern things for granted! I don't think any of us could imagine a world without computers, internet (remember not having email? ha!), radio, hot water, etc.

It is funny how we forget all the developments that created the world we live in, but a mere 60 years ago there wasn't such a thing as a 'generational gap', parents and kids listened to the same music, same radio shows, etc. Nowadays we take for granted that having different tastes from our parents is how it's always been, and as much as this happens with societies so it happens with technology and knowledge.
